I loved the grey chunky crochet cowl in the previous post so much that I bought some yarn in purple to make one for myself. As so often happens it got diverted into another completely unrelated project and a poncho was born.
Earlier this year my eldest daughter sent me some very lovely yarn for my birthday. The parcel consisted of some linen that I had been hankering after for a while and the surprise addition of some gorgeous bound Merino from Habu. This has been used to edge the poncho with a skewed scallop border.
